The temperance movement

The Temperance Movement is a British blues rock band from London, England. He was formed in 2011 by singer Phil Campbell, guitarists Luke Potashnick (formerly Rooster and Ben's Brother) and Paul Sayer. The rhythm section is composed of former Jamiroquai bassist Nick Fyffe and drummer Damon Wilson, known for his stints with Ray Davies, The Waterboys and Feeder>. The band releases its first EP Pride EP in 2012. Their first real album The Temperance Movement comes out, on September 16, 2013>.

Their first recording is their Pride EP, released September 10, 2012, self-production and contains five tracks: Is not No Telling, Only Friend, Pride, Be Lucky and Lovers and Fighters. The following week, the group released at the 2012 Sunflower Jam SuperJam at the Royal Albert Hall>, where, as a first part, they play the first two tracks of their EP>. May 1, 2012 releases the vinyl version of Pride EP.

The group also plays at Futurerock at 100 Club (Oxford Street, London) on November 9, 2012>. They then perform an English tour between late April and early May 2013>. On June 22, the group announces on its official website that it has signed with Earache Records>. During the summer, in partnership with Amazon.co.uk, the band recorded a live session at Snap Studios>. This session, named Live in Session, is out on August 30 in digital format and exclusively on the online sales site>. Their first studio album, The Temperance Movement, was released on September 16, 2013. It is composed of the five tracks on the EP Pride EP and seven other tracks.

On September 30, 2013, the band is announced as the headliner of the Planet Rockstock festival, which runs from December 6 to 8, 2013 at Vauxhall Holiday Park in Great Yarmouth>, along with Hawkwind, Uriah Heep and Fish>. The group is awarded in the category of "Best New Group of the Year" , awarded by Classic Rock Magazine, November 14, 2013>. They play at the gala opening this evening, in front of a professional audience. In July 2014, they play four first parts for the Rolling Stones tour in Europe (Wien, Dusseldorf ..). They insure the first part of the Insus in 2016 and will ensure that the Rolling Stones in the United States for five dates in 2017.
