The Used

The Used The Used is an American alternative rock band from Orem, Utah. The group includes singer Bert McCracken, guitarist Joey Bradford (replacing Justin Shekoski in 2018, replacing guitarist Quinn Allman in 2015), bassist Jeph Howard, and drummer Dan Whitesides (replacing drummer Branden Steineckert in 2006) .

The group signed to the Reprise Records label, and became popular in June 2002 after the release of their first self-titled album. It follows from a second album, In Love and Death, in September 2004 and a third album, Lies for the Liars, in May 2007. Shallow Believer, an EP that includes many B-faces, was released in February 2008. They spend the year 2008 recording their fourth album, Artwork, which is released in August 2009. A fifth album, entitled Vulnerable, is released in March 2012 at the independent label Hopeless Records. In summer 2013, they publish the EP The Ocean of the Sky. Their sixth album, Imaginary Enemy, is released in April 2014. The seventh album, The Canyon is out in October 2017, and an eighth album is planned for 2019.

The Used achieves success thanks to its many albums certified platinum and gold international>.

The Used was formed in 2001 in Orem, Utah, USA. At the end of the 1990s, The Used was only Branden Steineckert. Quinn Allman and Jepha join Branden, with a succession of different singers. It was only shortly before January 2001 that they met Bert McCracken, whom they had seen before in another group. Bert had seen an announcement at the time that the band had left, saying they were looking for a singer. He immediately contacted the group and shortly thereafter, he officially joined the group. Before McCracken's arrival, his name was Dumb Luck.
