The Veils is a New Zealand-based rock band based in London, led by singer and musician Finn Andrews.
Finn Andrews> lived part of his childhood in New Zealand. When he was 16, he decided to leave school and go back to London to form a band and find a label. Rough Trade Records' Geoff Travis signs it, and in 2001 the Veils first album, The Runaway Found
In 2004, the group breaks out. Andrews goes back to New Zealand, looking for new members and writing the next album. He finds two former classmates, Sophia Burn and Liam Gerrard.
In 2005, the trio returned to London. Dan Raishbrook and Henning Dietz> join them, the group is then reformed.
They will record a second album, Nux Vomica, in Los Angeles with producer Nick Launay.
Nux Vomica is released in September 2006 and receives many critical reviews.
