The Zombies is an English pop rock band from the city of St Albans, formed in 1961 and composed of Rod Argent (organ and composition), Colin Blunstone (vocals), Chris White (bass and composition ), Paul Atkinson (guitar) and Hugh Grundy (drums).

In 1963, they took part in a local contest from which they emerged as winners, which enabled them to record, as early as 1964, for the Decca record label. The first single to be released is She's Not There (written by Rod Argent), which is a huge worldwide success, is No. 1 on the charts in the US and will be picked up by the band Santana on her album Moonflower.

Follow the singles Leave Me Be, Tell Her No (which enters the Top 10 in the United States), She's Coming Home, Whenever You're Ready, or Gotta Get a Hold of Myself, which initially win a certain success (or a certain success) in the United States, Japan, or in the Philippines where five of their singles reach the Top 10. The group then passes for one of the major groups of the British Invasion (even if, paradoxically, the UK is one of the only places where the group does not really work).
