Theocracy

Theocracy is an American Christian symphonic power metal band from Athens, Georgia. He is trained in 2002 by Matt Smith. Smith is one of the few musicians selected to appear in the 2004 Metal Bible.

In the beginning, the group consists of only one member ( one man band ). All the instrumental and vocal parts of the first self-titled album are recorded by Matt Smith. The formation develops after the release of the first album. The topics discussed obviously revolve around the Christian faith, Matt Smith being a convinced Christian. He could not imagine making music without talking about his beliefs. The group plays at the ProgPower USA VII festival in Atlanta. Their performances of the songs The Serpent's Kiss and Mountain are included in the ProgPower VII DVD>.

In June 2008, the band signs to the label Ulterium Records>. It is to this label that their second album, Mirror of Souls , is published on November 26, 2008 in Japan under the Soundholic Records label. It includes a cover by Robert G. Wilson, Jr.>. A song, On Eagles Wings, from the album, is published on the group's MySpace page. The album is hailed by the critics for its richness and its notorious maturity despite the "youth" of the group. In 2010, the magazine HM Magazine ranks the album 16> on 100 of the most important Christian metal albums of all time>.

The album, As the World Bleeds , is published on November 21, 2011 in North America, and November 25, 2011 in Europe >>>. After the release of the album, Theocracy publishes its first video clip entitled "Hide in the Fairytale" on September 5, 2012>. In early December 2012, they released a special Christmas song called Wynter Fever on YouTube and iTunes>. The group embarks on a promotional tour for the remastered reissue of their debut album in November 2013>.
