Throwdown

Throwdown is an American straight edge heavy metal band from Santa Ana, California. Formed in 1997, the group is signed at Trustkill Records, and has a total of six studio albums and a split-CD during its existence.

Throwdown was formed in 1997 by singer Keith Barney, also an active member of Adamantium and Eighteen Visions, guitarists Tommy Love and Javier Van Huss, bassist Dom Macaluso, and drummer Marc Jackson. The band releases its first album, the eponymous 7-inch single the same year on the label Prime Directive Records. Van Huss leaves the group and is replaced by Brandan Schieppati. After signing on the Indecision Records label, the band released its first studio album, Beyond Repair , the following year. In 1999, Barney left Death by Stereo aside to focus on Throwdown. Schieppati leaves the group to focus on Bleeding Through, being replaced by Dave Peters. This new course publishes the following year, the EP "Drive Me Dead" .

In 2001, Throwdown releases its second studio album, "Do not Have to Be Blood to Be Family". They record a metalcore version of Sir Mix-a-Lot's single Baby Got Back for compilation
