Tnmk

TNMK (Ukrainian: Танок на Майдані Конґо ) is a Ukrainian hip-hop band from Kharkiv. Composed of seven members, TNMK group is formed in 1989 by rappers Fozzi and Kotya>. They are known for their intelligent words, word-of-mouth; they mix hip-hop with elements of rock, funk and jazz and play real instruments on their albums and during their performances, rather than the use of samples and a drum machine. TNMK will perform at several festivals such as Sziget Fest, Zakhid, Tavria Games, Chervona Ruta, Faine Misto and Bandershtat.

The group is formed in a labor camp on June 14, 1989 by Oleksandr "Fozzi" Sydorenko and Kostiantyn "Kotia" Zhuikov, originally as Novye Doma (Russian: Новые Дома ) inspired Kharkiv neighborhoods where members lived. They play a small ceremony and then decide to become a full-time band on September 1, 1989.

TNMK released its first album, Zroby meni hip-hop, in 1998. The title track became an underground success in Ukraine, but it was with the release of Neformat in 2001 that the group became popular among the general public. Pozhezhi mista Vavilon, published in 2004, has a harder sound, while Jazzy, released the same year, is a live album recorded with a Ukrainian jazz band called Skhid-Side, and includes songs from TNMK rearranged in the funk veins and jazz. The same year, the band plays in France and records the French version of some of their songs. Their album Syla is voted best album of 2005 by the famous Ukrainian portal music.com.ua. Their album, ReFormatTsia vol.2 (2008), is a compilation of remixes of their songs sung by them and other singers like Oleh Skrypka, Mariya Burmaka, and GreatFruit. The album also includes a remix of the song Chervona Ruta with Sofia Rotaru.

In 2014 released the album Dzerkalo.
