Turmion Kätilöt is a Finnish industrial metal band from Kuopio. They are initially signed with the record company Spinefarm Records.

Turmion Kätilöt is formed by MC Raaka Pee and DJ Vastapallo, in 2003>. Turmion Kätilöt means "midwives of destruction". MC Raaka Pee and DJ Vastapallo had previously worked together in a band called Ancient Drive. After the formation of the group, they are joined by the other members (namely Master Bates, RunQ, and DQ). Spellgoth joins the band at the end of 2004, after MC Rakaa Pee and DJ Vastapallo, who knew him from his bands Trollheim's Grott and Slave's Mask, make him listen to TK's first two songs. He immediately agrees to become a secondary singer, appearing only on stage; in reality, Spellgoth replaces a first secondary singer named Plastinen and that preview on the photos of the Henry's Pub Festival and Kuopio. He says he is privileged to work with them.

Their mix of metal and electro seduces Spinefarm Records (Nightwish, Children of Bodom) which becomes their record company (especially for the subsidiary Ranka Recordings). They publish on May 20, 2004, their first studio album, entitled Hoitovirhe, which reaches the 28> place of the Finnish rankings>. The album includes Teurastaja singles (5> Finnish rankings), and Verta ja lihaa (12>) >>>. In April 2005, EP Niuva 20, which reached the 2nd place in the Finnish charts, includes a cover of Deepwater's Stormbringer, involving Marco Hietala (Tarot, Sinergy, Nightwish) and Tommi Salmela ( Cardiant, Tarot). On March 29, 2006, the album Pirun nyrkki was released, which reached the 7th place of the Finnish rankings. The band separates from the label Spinefarm Records and publishes its new album U.S.C.H! in 2009> to the Raha Records label as a paid download.
