Wild Nothing is an independent rock band founded by Jack Tatum in Blacksburg, Virginia in 2009.
The group is originally the project of Jack Tatum a musician from Blacksburg, Virginia, who played in the bands Jack And The Whale and Facepaint. He released his first recordings under this name, including a cover of Kate Bush's Cloudbusting title, on the Captured Tracks label in 2009. A debut album titled Gemini was released in the spring of 2010. This album will rank 49> in the standings year-end albums established by Pitchfork>. At the 2011 Record Store Day the band publishes in the company of Beach Fossils (en) a 45t including two covers of The Wake group>. The second album, Nocturne, is released in 2012 >>>. The title Paradise, from this album, features a music video directed by Matthew Amato, in which actress Michelle Williams plays and reads an excerpt from Iris Murdoch's novel A child of the verb. An EP entitled Empty Estate is published on May 14, 2013>. A third album called Life Of Pause appears on February 19, 2016. Indigo the band's fourth album was released on August 31, 2018.
