Xandria

Xandria is a German symphonic metal band from Bielefeld. The group is initially formed in 1994 and separated in 1997. In 1999, on a new initiative of Marco Heubaum, Xandria is reconstituted with the bassist Roland Krueger, as well as other members of the last group of the latter. The group was spotted by Drakkar Entertainment and signed to the label in 2002. He released his first album Kill the Sun .

The group drew its inspiration from the music of bands such as Tiamat and Paradise Lost and offered a mix of metal and atmospheric music>. In 1999, on a new initiative by Marco Heubaum, Xandria is reconstituted with the bassist Roland Krueger, as well as other members of the last group of the latter. The singer Lisa Middelhauve> also joins the group.

In 2000, the group will begin to be recognized after a broadcast of its first titles on sites, such as mp3.com or Besonic. Success is felt around the world, especially in North America. First considered as a studio project, Xandria now becomes a full-fledged group. The drummer Gerit Lamm joins the group to allow, among others, the group to play the titles live.
