KYPCK (Russian: kursk , or Kursk in western alphabet) is a group of Finnish doom metal. Formed in 2007 by Saami Lopaka (former Sentenced member), they see themselves as the "Russian metal-fast doom group of Finland" .
Singer Erkki Seppänen speaks Russian fluently and has worked for the Moscow embassy. Their first album, =ерно (Cherno), was released on March 12, 2008. The lyrics of the album are transcribed in Russian and in English. They perform a long tour of St. Petersburg to Irkutsk, Siberia. Their songs are played by the biggest Russian radio channels.
In January 2010, they finish recording their second album, which is finally released in 2011. Before this release, the group publishes a video entitled Alleya Stalina in February 2011>. In September 2011, they announce the arrival of a new drummer, Kai H. M. Hiilesmaa>. The third album is recorded as of November 2013>, and published in 2014.
In 2015, the group is banned from stay in Belarus. In July 2016, the group announces the release of its new album, = "ru"> Зеро . In September 2016, they released the video of the song Ya Svoboden, from = "ru"> Зеро .
