Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band has been rewarded many times for their first album Songs About Jane , released in June 2002, which is at the top of the list, becoming triple platinum disc in many countries. Similarly, their second album, 1.22.03.Acoustic , which includes live tracks, in acoustic version, of the album Songs About Jane , is certified platinum disc. Maroon 5 has been touring since the group's formation in 1997, performing alongside John Mayer, Michelle Branch, Gavin DeGraw, Phantom Planet, Jason Mraz, The Like, The Thrills and The Donnas.
