Neaera

Neaera is a German melodic metalcore and death metal band from Münster. Their first studio album, The Rising Tide of Oblivion, was released in 2005 under Metal Blade Records. The following year, in 2006, released the album Let the Tempest Come, which is followed in 2008 by Armamentarium, then the year after, in 2009, by Omnicide - Creation Unleashed. The group separates in 2015>.

The band was formed in the summer of 2003 by guitarist Tobias Buck in Münster, Germany. The band is initially called Malzan, a more hardcore punk oriented project with Swedish metal tendencies. The group initially includes Sebastian Heldt, Benny Hilleke, Benjamin Donath, and Tobias Buck. The group is renamed The Ninth Gate, then Neaera in 2004>. Shortly after, Stefan Keller joined the band as a second guitarist. The band leaves for studio in February 2004 in Osnabrück to record two demos.

On April 2, 2004, the band signed with Metal Blade Records>. They enter Stage One studio in November 2004 to work with producer Andy Classen. Their first studio album, The Rising Tide of Oblivion , was released on March 21, 2005 under Metal Blade Records. In the autumn, he follows a European tour with Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying, Evergreen Terrace, Agents of Man, and End of Days, in several concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark and Estonia. They end the year with a tour with Caliban, Fear My Thoughts, Destiny, and Narziss.

On April 7, 2006, Neaera launches, alongside producer Jacob Hansen, in the recording of his second album Let Tempest Come. The release of the album is followed by other European tours. In early 2007, Neaera is shooting with Devastation, Quo Vadis, Fear My Thoughts, and Kataklysm. On February 21, 2007, Neaera announced on its MySpace page a video recording of its May 19, 2007 concert in Münster. This video recording is released with the limited edition of their third album, as a bonus DVD.
