Plastic Tree is a Japanese rock band formed in December 1993.
Plastic Tree was created in December 1993, with members Ryutarô singing, Akira on guitar, Tadashi on bass and Shin on drums. But the band is rather unstable at its beginnings. Akira continues to work for Drop'in shop lifter, so he is only the session guitarist of Plastic Tree that he definitely integrates in 1994. They released Strange Fruit in 1995.
A year later, Shin leaves Plastic Tree. He is immediately replaced by Takashi whose drum sound has already been noticed in his previous group with decidedly pop accents; which perfectly suits the expectations of Tadashi and Ryutarô. They compose for October the single Lila no Ki. Their musical style is already well established and it will evolve little.
