Poets of the Fall is a Finnish rock band composed of Marko Saaresto (vocals), Olli Tukiainen (lead guitar) and Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen (keyboards, production)>. During the tours, the group is accompanied by Jani Snellman (bass guitar), Jaska Mäkinen (rhythm guitar, choirs) and Jari Salminen (drums, percussion).
The band has recorded 8 albums to date (the last one, Ultraviolet, was released on October 5, 2018), and recorded four unreleased songs under the name Old Gods of Asgard (War, The Poet and the Muse, Balance Slays the Demon and Children of the Elder God) for the game Alan Wake.
This group performed the song Late Goodbye used as the end theme of the video game Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne in 2003.
He also released a single cover of a James Bond cover, "You know my name", and participated in the compilation album "Melkein veraissa: Nimmemme in Dingo", in tribute to another Finnish band, Dingo.
