Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway , formerly Scars on Broadway , is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. Before their separation, the group is formed by guitarist and singer Daron Malakian, then joined by drummer John Dolmayan. After a standby in 2008, the group returns as solo project of Daron Malakian in 2018 with the announcement of a new album, Dictator.
Scars on Broadway was formed in late 2005, in early 2006, by System of a Down guitarist and singer Daron Malakian, after the band decided to pause once their albums Mezmerize and Hypnotize published>. He is joined by his friend and System of a Down drummer, John Dolmayan, and starts composing in 2007>.
On March 28, 2008, they post their first song >>, and is well received by the entire specialist press with an average score of 73 out of 100 on Metacritic >>>>>>>. Apart from the drums, recorded by Dolmayan, all the instruments in the album are recorded by Malakian. The other members of the group are present only on the concerts and the clips. They take part in Rock en Seine in Paris, France, on August 29, 2008 and in Leather Goods in July 2008>.
