Eighteen Visions is an American metalcore band from Orange County, California. Formed in October 1995, the band split in April 2007, less than a year after the release of its first major album, at Epic Records and Trustkill Records. After a decade of absence, they return in 2017. They announce their sixth album, XVIII, at Rise Records.
On April 20, 2017, ten years after their farewell tour, the group confirms a new album, XVIII, for June 2, 2017 at the label Rise Records; the clip of the single Oath is published in parallel. On May 9, 2017, Crucified, the second single from the album, is released as a YouTube video. Both songs last only two minutes and mark a return to powerful screaming, an element of their early career. The band also confirms that the song Live Again is dedicated to MickDeth (Mick Morris)>. XVIII is announced on June 2, 2017. This is their first album since Vanity (2002) to include lyrics of movies in their songs. A clip of the song Live Again is also released that same day.
