Jbo

J.B.O. , or JBO , is a German fun-metal band from Erlangen. On July 31, 2004, the group celebrates 15 years of existence in Erlangen at Dechsendorfer Weiher under the slogan 30 Halbe (half of 30). In 2014, J.B.O. play at the 25th edition of the Wacken Open Air, and at the 17th edition of the Summer Breeze Open Air to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

The group was formed in 1989 in Erlangen by Vito C. and Hannes "G.Laber" Holzmann to be a "Pleasure Project" and originally for a single appearance at the festival Newcomer Erlangen. The original name of the group was James Blast Orchester. Due to a legal dispute with James Last's record company, the band had to change its name in 1996 to an abbreviated form (J.B.O.), a name still used today, because there was allegedly a likelihood of confusion. Today the band is read under the signature James zensiert! chester, zensiert meaning censored.

After the year 2000, two of the founding members left the group (Schmitti and Holmer "a Bier" Graap), and in 2001 Ralph Bach and Wolfram Kellner join the group. Kellner played in the Fiddler's Green folk band in the past, which implies the strongly influenced Fiddler's Green phrase "man sagt sogar, dass Wolfram früher Folk-Musik g'macht hätt" ("Wolfram is said to have folk music ") in the song Arschloch und Spaß dabei (stupid and fun at the same time).

On July 31, 2004, the group celebrates 15 years of existence in Erlangen at Dechsendorfer Weiher under the slogan 30 Halbe (half of 30). In 2005, they were among the many bands to participate in Böhsen Onkelz's farewell concert at EuroSpeedway in Lausitz in front of nearly 100,000 spectators. During the year 2007 the group plays Earthshaker-Festival, Kieler Woche and the famous Wacken Open Air. On September 28, 2007, the new album called Head Bang Boing was released.
