Korn , stylized KoЯn , is an American nude metal band from Bakersfield, California >>>>>. In 2017, the band consists of Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Shaffer on guitar, Reginald < Field class = "quote"> "Fieldy" Arvizu on bass, Jonathan Davis on vocals and Ray Luzier on drums.
Korn was formed in 1992, originally by three members of L.A.P.D. The band released their first demo Neidermeyer's Mind , in 1993>. Their first album Korn was released in October 1994. The band started recording Life is Peachy in April 1996, and released Follow the Leader which allows Korn to break into the mainstream, he takes the lead Billboard 200 with the album Issues, in November 1999>. The group released Untouchables in June 2002 and Take a Look in the Mirror < in November 2003.
Their first compilation Greatest Hits Vol.1 appeared in October 2004, and the contract at Epic Records and Immortal Records came to an end. Then, Korn signs at Virgin Records and released in December 2005, and in July 2007 their eighth untitled album. Korn III: Remember Who You Are and The Path of Totality come out via Roadrunner Records, respectively in July 2010 and December 2011.
In 2010, Korn lists a total of 19 million albums sold in the United States according to Nielsen SoundScan>, and about 50 million in the world. Eleven of the group's albums culminate in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, eight of which have taken the lead. Eight albums are certified platinum or multi-platinum by the RIAA, and are certified gold. Korn releases six video media and thirty-nine clips. They currently count forty-one singles. Korn wins two Grammy Awards on seven nominations for "Freak on a Leash " and Stay >>>. In 2013 comes The Paradigm Shift , which marks the return of Brian "Head" Welch in the group. The album is released by Caroline Records. In 2016, Korn returns to Roadrunner Records for his 12th album, entitled The Serenity of Suffering which includes a collaboration with Slipknot's Corey Taylor on < span class = "lang-en" lang = "en"> A Different World .
