Ludovico Einaudi , born November 23, 1955 in Turin, is an Italian composer and pianist whose piano pieces are famous for their melodies.

While still a child, Ludovico Einaudi is introduced to music by his mother who gives him the taste of the piano. He began his musical apprenticeship at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan where he earned a diploma in composition. Then he studies with Luciano Berio. In 1982, he won a scholarship at the Tanglewood Festival. Ludovico Einaudi lives in a vineyard in Piedmont, Italy> '>.

He spent several years composing in traditional forms, then to find a personal style in a series of works first for the dance and then for the piano. His music is ambient, meditative, often introspective and draws inspiration from minimalism. He made a strong impression in the film world.
