Milburn

Milburn is a British independent rock band from Sheffield, England. It is composed of Joe Carnall, Louis Carnall, Tom Rowley and Joe Green.

Milburn begins to perform for friends, training in the home of the grandmother of their drummer, Joe Green. The band's name comes from a bet with one of their friends, whose nickname was Milburn. In 2002, they filled The Boardwalk twice and played Cavern Club in Liverpool, The Garage in London and Leadmill in Sheffield, while supporting Tony Wright's group, Laika Dog, and the Cosmic Rough Riders.

The band's notoriety grew through numerous concerts with friends and with the Arctic Monkeys, being in the first part of them when their single I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor took the UK lead (UK Singles Chart). ). The NME is also interested in them by integrating them into the New Yorkshire movement. After the release of the two Lipstick Lickin and Showroom singles on their own Free Construction label, Milburn signed with Mercury Records in 2006. Their first single for this label, Send In the Boys, reached 22> place in the UK Singles Chart in April. 2006, and their first album, Well Well Well, released on October 9, 2006 at Mercury Records, reached him 32> place in this same ranking.

The second album These Are the Facts is released on September 24, 2007, with the debut single What Will You Do (When the Money Goes)? has been in the bins since September 17, 2007. These Are the Facts is hacked and was available on a private download site before its release. Milburn is promoting his new album via a British tour from September 13 to September 28, 2007. The final concert took place in The Leadmill Hall in Sheffield on the last night of the tour. All seats are purchased in three days.
