Pat Benatar , born January 10, 1953 in New York, is an American singer.

She enjoyed significant commercial success in the 1980s with more than 30 million albums sold and won including four consecutive Grammy Awards (from 1981 to 1984) for the best female rock performance.

During her career, the singer has placed 17 singles hits in the top 40 of US rankings, including Love Is a Battlefield, We Belong, Heartbreaker and Hit Me with Your Best Shot. She is also one of the most broadcast artists in the early years of the MTV music channel.
