Periphery is an American progressive metal band from Bethesda and Baltimore (Maryland, USA), created in 2005.
Periphery was created by guitarist Misha Mansoor in 2005. Before and during Periphery's performance on stage, Mansoor formed its own reputation with its own music productions, most of which were created by computer and Pod XT during this period. Mansoor continues to update his personal project, Bulb, which precedes Periphery. Mansoor continues to be involved in many musical projects, including Haunted Shores> and Of Man Not of Machine>.
Between 2005 and 2009, Periphery works with singers Jake Veredika>, Casey Sabol> and Chris Barretto> moving little by little from a Meshuggah sound to a more ambient sound, melodious with the idea of innovative production.
Periphery plays heavily on stage from 2008, opening for artists including DevilDriver, Veil of Maya, Animals As Leaders, God Forbid, Darkest Hour, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Fear Factory, Dream Theater, Between the Buried and Me and Fair to Midland>.
