Pinback

Pinback is an independent American rock band from San Diego, California. He is trained by Rob Crow and Armistead Burwell Smith IV (also known as Zach Smith). The group has five studio albums and other releases in different formats.

The name of the band refers to the Pinback character, played by Dan O'Bannon, in John Carpenter's Dark Star film shot in 1974. There are many samples of the film in the band's first compositions >>>. In 2004, Pinback signs at the American independent label Touch and Go Records>. Their third album, Summer in Abaddon , was released later that year.

The fourth album of the group, Autumn of the Seraphs , is released on September 11, 2007 >>>. The group also brings together a collection of rarities in a compilation called Nautical Antiques . The two members of the group appear in interviews on US television and play titles on the US national radio NPR.

On April 1, 2009, Pinback announces that it is working on a future album with the US label Temporary Residence Ltd. The group's fifth studio album, Retrieved Information , is out October 16, 2012> On August 15, 2012, The group is putting its own track on file. Memory on the RollingStone.com website>. Zach Smith and Rob Crow are recently accompanied by drummer Chris Prescott. Tom Zinser and Mario Rubalcaba have also contributed to the drums in the past. In the absence of a drummer, they are used to using a drum machine.
