Pitty

Pitty Priscilla Novais Leone , born October 7, 1977 in Salvador (Bahia), better known as Pitty , is a Brazilian rock singer.

Pitty was born in Salvador, Bahia in Brazil to a musician father. She spent most of her childhood in Porto Seguro, another Brazilian city in the state of Bahia. She grew up rocked by bands such as The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Faith No More, Pantera, Nirvana and Metallica.

In 1996, she returned to Salvador and played in different groups. She was the singer in the hardcore band Inkoma and released several albums with them. When Inkoma dissolved, producer Rafael Ramos took her under her wing and helped her record a solo album.

In 2003, she released her debut album Admirável Chip Novo, which sold more than 350,000 copies and was therefore a Platinum record. The songs "Máscara", "Admirável Chip Novo" and "Teto de Vidro" were big hits in Brazil, and "Equalize" was number 1. The title of the album was inspired by "Admirável Mundo Novo" of Aldous Huxley.
