Poison the Well is an American band of experimental hardcore punk, originally from Miami, Florida> formerly signed to the Ferret Music label. In 2010, the group announces its inactivity>. Guitarist Ryan Primack and drummer Chris Hornbrook are the only remaining members of the first band.
the band is originally named An Acre Lost> and starts with singer Aryeh Lehrer and guitarist Ryan Primack. Shortly after their first release under the name of An Acre Lost, in a vinyl split with Promise No Tomorrow at OHEV Records, their name changes to Poison the Well.
Poison the Well released his first EP, Distance Only Makes the Heart Grow Founder in 1998. Thanks to that, they get the attention of the Trustkill label Records that sign them thereafter. Poison the Well released his first studio album in 1999, The Opposite of December ... A Season of Separation .
Tear from the Red is the second album of Poison The Well. From a traditional metalcore sound they have established in their debut album , Kittie>, Killswitch Engage>, Unearth> and Eighteen Visions>.
