Poisonblack Poisonblack is a Finnish Gothic metal band. He was trained in 2000 by Ville Laihiala and plays gothic metal, as evidenced by their first album "Escapexstacy" , where the singing is done by Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto. From their second album, Lust Stained Despair , and the arrival to the song of Ville Laihiala, they evolve towards a more aggressive style. The album A Dead Heavy Day continues in the same vein as the previous album, with a heavier metal side. Then, the album Of Rust and Bones is published in March 2010. According to Ville Laihiala himself: "the lyrics deal with the uncontrollable desire for alcohol and boredom, frustration, hatred, love and the fact that everything will finally fall into the water. "

He was formed in 2000 by Ville Laihiala, known to have been the singer of the late Sentenced band between 1996 and 2005. The group plays in its debut of Gothic metal. In 2003, their first album, Escapexstacy> reached 21> place of the Finnish musicux> classifications. They play for Iron Maiden at Hartwall Areena in Helsinki on December 21, 2003 at their Dance of Death World tour.

The singer Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto leaves the group in autumn 2003 to devote himself to his group Charon>. Ville Laihiala, the songwriter of the group, replaces him to the singing, and leads, since that moment, Poisonblack in the gothic genre of their first album.

In 2006, they tour in Europe with Lacuna Coil and their second album, Lust Stained Despair , reached the second place in the Finnish charts for one week>. In 2008, they published A Dead Heavy Day which reached sixth place in the Finnish rankings. They then start a tour in Europe with Dark Tranquility and Fear My Thoughts.
