Porn for Pyros is a rock band founded in 1993 and dissolved in 1997 by members of Jane's Addiction, Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins. Other members are guitarist Peter DiStefano and Martyn LeNoble on bass. Their first single named Pets is a great success. The homonymous album is received in a more mixed way by fans of Jane's Addiction. After a tour and a new album Good God's Urge, the band has to stop the concerts following the diagnosis of cancer at DiStefano.
Perkins and Watt later formed a Banyan punk jazz band, sometimes accompanied by DiStefano. They play Stooges covers under the name of Hellride. In 2003, Farrel reformed the group Jane's Addiction and the Lollapalooza festival which he organized from 1991 to 1997 before stopping for a few years.
