Saves the Day is an American pop punk band from Princeton, New Jersey>. Formed in 1994, the group includes singer and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, bassist Rodrigo Palma, and drummer Dennis Wilson.
After forming under the name of Sefler in 1994, Saves the Day released his first studio album, Can not Slow Down, in 1998. It is followed by Through Being Cool (1999), which includes their first single, Shoulder to the Wheel. Stay What You Are was released in 2001, and reached the 100> place of the Billboard 200. They are shooting two videos on MTV2, singles At Your Funeral and Freakish, and have sold over 300,000 copies>. After the success of Stay What You Are, Saves the Day signs at Dreamworks Records, which will release their album In Reverie, with Vagrant Records. He reached the 27th place of the Billboard 200 and the fourth place of the Independent Albums. last album, eponymous, is published in 2013>.
Saves the Day plays in New Jersey under the name of Sefler with Chris Conley on bass and vocals. The band changed names at the end of 1997. From the original band, only Chris Conley remains. The group made several training changes and recorded two albums under the same band (Through Being Cool and Stay What You Are), with Conley as the only permanent member. The band's first real album, Can not Slow Down, was recorded and released by Equal Vision Records in 1998 when the members are still high school students.
With its own resources, Saves the Day releases a five-song EP, I'm Sorry I'm Leaving, in early 1999. Later in the year, they release their second studio album at Equal Vision, Through Being Cool , whose sound is more melodic. They will then sign with the Vagrant Records label.
