Stick to Your Guns is a hardcore group consisting of five members from Orange County, California. The group was formed in the summer of 2003, when singer Jesse Barnett was inspired to form a band that would provide him with a way to express his points of view. STYG mixes melody, heaviness and sincerity in a solid musical sound that will meet the requirements of Comeback Kid's fans, Throwdown, Ignite, Stronger Than Ever, The Llama Four Mafia, and Rise Against. Ash Avildsen, of Sumerian Records, is the first to notice the group.
In 2007, Century Media Records signs the band and reissues its first album accompanied by two bonus songs. After a few training changes, the band starts recording a second album with only two members, Jesse Barnett and Casey Lagos. Marked by a vocal change from Barnett, Comes from the Heart was released in 2008 at Century Media. This year, the group is participating in Warped Tour and Hell on Earth. In November 2008, Casey Lagos left the band to pursue his own musical interests.
Ash Avildsen of Sumerian Records signs the band after noticing them at Anaheim House of Blues. In 2010, the band began recording a third album with Jesse Barnett on vocals, George Schmitz on drums, Chris Rawson and Reid Haymond on guitar, and Andrew Rose on bass. The Hope Division is published on June 1, 2010.
